Privacy Policy

The Privacy Policy for the Web Site addresses the treatment of information you submit on the Web Site, including information about yourself and the Proxy Bid specifications (i.e., "Maximum Bid", which is entered in the "Your Max. Bid" column of the Bid Page) you enter on the Web Site.

The San Diego County Treasurer-Tax Collector (the "Tax Collector") and Grant Street Group, Inc. ("GSG") will treat personal financial information including bank account information as confidential. (This information is required for purposes of completing the online electronic payment authorization).

This information will not be provided to third parties or other government agencies unless required by state or federal law.

With the exception of personal financial information and Maximum Bids entered on the Bid Page, all information entered on Web Site, as well as all computations based upon bids submitted, will be accessible to the Tax Collector and registered users, and may be disclosed to third parties by the Tax Collector pursuant to any requirements of the California Public Records Act or other "right to know" or "freedom of information" requests.

The Tax Collector does not have access to Maximum Bids entered by Users on the Bid Page, and consequently, the Tax Collector will not be able to supply Maximum Bids pursuant to the California Public Records Act, "right to know" or "freedom of information" requests. GSG will keep Maximum Bids confidential and will not divulge such information to third parties, including the Tax Collector, unless mandated to do so by a court of competent jurisdiction.
